Guy has spent 20 years working in various aspects of the marketing and data management industry. Starting his career in Johannesburg and making his way to the sunny climes of the UK, Guy is responsible for email marketing. He has been instrumental in the deployment and ongoing development of highly successful e-marketing programs right across our client base and is now taking these clients on the next steps of their multi-channel journeys as he extends their reach into mobile, web, and social media marketing.
In 2009 Guy was elected to the Email Marketing Council, and now into his second year as councillor he has taken on chairmanship of the Legal, Data & Best Practice workgroup. In this capacity, Guy was responsible for co-authoring the recently revised email delivered in the inbox, not to be confused with sending an email. Brett has over 10 years experience in the marketing sector following a decision to leave Deloitte where he worked as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and New York. Brett has worked with dbg's board and shareholders to grow a multi-channel marketing and email services business. As CEO at dbg, Brett is passionate about driving value for clients by using customer data to improve clients' business and marketing performance.
Richard has over twenty years experience of the data market spread across a multi-national career. A pioneer in data manipulation, Richard has an established reputation within the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) arena and has unparalleled expertise in the data marketplace. Richard joined dbg in 2001 with a mission to make marketing meaningful through the application of data. Richard advocates the need to integrate customer-based research with traditional analytics in order to extract maximum value from data. More recently he has been working with our key clients to build their marketing strategies for the future, bringing together what he coins "The holy trinity - direct, digital and data".
Allan has extensive knowledge and understanding of the advertising and marketing communications sectors, in South Africa and the UK. In the 1990's Allan was Executive Chairman and the largest shareholder of two South African businesses that were acquired by the Primedia Group; Direct Response Marketing and Product Marketing Services, both market leaders in their respective sectors. Whilst Chairman of Primedia's Direct Marketing Division, Allan, and a colleague wrote the business plan for iafrica.com, one of the world's first commercial internet portals.
